1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device to store data. This site also uses other forms of browser storage like IndexedDB which function in a similar way to help the website work correctly.
2. How We Use Cookies
This is a simple hobby project, and we do not set any of our own tracking or advertising cookies. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is strictly limited to what is essential for the website to function.
- Firebase Authentication (Strictly Necessary): To keep you signed in to your account, our service provider, Google Firebase, uses your browser's local storage (specifically
IndexedDB). This acts like a session cookie. It remembers who you are so you don't have to enter your password on every page. This is essential for using the service, and the application cannot function without it. - Third-Party CDNs (Strictly Necessary): The services that provide fonts and scripts (like Google Fonts, Font Awesome, Bootstrap, and Chart.js) may use their own cookies for their own operational purposes, such as load balancing and security. We do not have control over these, and they do not track your activity on our site for advertising purposes.
3. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in your browser settings. You can delete existing cookies and configure your browser to block them. However, please be aware that if you block the browser storage used by Firebase Authentication, you will not be able to sign in or use the Cognito application.
